Dean Motl

Senior Vice President, Business Development


Dean Motl brings more than 30 years of experience in power industry O&M, asset management, general management and business development to IPSC. Mr. Motl is currently serving as Senior Vice President, Business Development. In this capacity Mr. Motl provides strategic leadership for numerous new opportunities and development to support the growth of IPSC.

Prior to joining IPSC, Mr. Motl held the position of Asset Manager, for PurEnergy, LLC. leading full profit and loss, asset management, financial services, energy trading, commercial, project development, due diligence and O&M for a 1.5 GW portfolio of combined cycle, and simple cycle gas assets.

Mr. Motl worked for NAES Corp in various O&M leadership capacities, including Operations Director for the United Kingdom and General Manager for the world’s largest combined power and water project in Singapore. He has held leadership positions at numerous facilities throughout the U.S., UK and Asia.

He holds a BS Business Administration degree from Liberty University, and an Executive MBA from Rutgers University. Additionally, he is a U.S. Navy Gulf War Veteran, marine engineer, and participated in extensive executive leadership education.

Mr. Motl served as founder and chairperson for a Phoenix, AZ area charity golf tournament benefiting the MDA of America. When not engaged in career ambitions, he enjoys quality time with family, international travel, and fly-fishing.
