Rebecca Covarrubias

Vice President, Chief Financial Officer


Rebecca Covarrubias has over 10 years of experience in the power business. She has held a number of roles including Director of Finance and Accounting, Accounting Manager, Senior Financial Analyst, and FP&A Manager. She brings over 20 years of experience in her field.

Ms. Covarrubias joined IHI Power Services Corp. as a consultant following the sale by Exelon/Constellation. She established the accounting infrastructure for the new company including cash management, billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll. In her role with Constellation Ms. Covarrubias was responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for the West Region fleet, which included 11 power plants. Ms. Covarrubias also participated in due diligence teams for the acquisition of two wholly owned gas fired plants in Texas.

Ms. Covarrubias is currently the Chief Financial Officer for IHI Power Services Corp., with responsibility for accounting, budgeting, forecasting, reporting for both IPSC and the Chinese Station power plant, as well as other 3rd party IPSC customers.

Prior to joining Constellation, Rebecca was the Controller at La OpiniĆ³n, a Spanish language newspaper in Southern California. While there, Rebecca successfully implemented various system automations, including general ledger conversion and system implementation, which resulted in cost savings for the company.

Rebecca graduated from DeVry University with a major in Accounting, and has also earned her MBA at Pepperdine University.
