IPSC Heritage Plants

High Desert Power Project, completed in 2003, was the first major power plant development in Southern California in over a decade. The plant's three Siemens Westinghouse W501FD2 gas turbines and a Toshiba reheat steam turbine provide about 830 MW of electrical power. In 2003, High Desert was named Power magazine's 2003 Plant of the Year because of HDPP's "innovative approaches to project partnering, air emissions offsetting and water management".

Quail Run Power Plant in Odessa, Texas, was online beginning in 2008. The 550 MW combined cycle facility uses four GE 7EA gas turbines and two GE steam turbines.

Colorado Bend, located in Wharton County, Texas, is an identical sister plant to Quail Run. Also online in 2008.

West Valley Generating Station is a 220 MW station operating five PC Sprint LM6000 simple cycle turbines.

ACE Cogeneration Facility, a 108 MW circulating fluidized bed boiler, was the largest coal-fired cogeneration plants in California.

Sunnyside Cogenerations Facility is a coal-fired 51 MW circulating fluidized bed boiler located in Sunnyside, Utah.

SEGS IV, V and VI Three solar units, 30 MW each, using parabolic trough collectors, were placed in service from 1987 to 1989.
