David M Shultz
Plant Manager Rio Bravo Poso & Rio Bravo Jasmin
David M. Shultz has been in the power generation industry for more than 25 years in capacities including fleet management, project general management, business development, and acquisitions & divestitures.
Mr. Shultz joined IHI Power Services Corp. from Exelon/Constellation Energy where he served as Plant Manager for the Rio Bravo Poso and Jasmin projects in Bakersfield California. Mr. Shultz joined Exelon/Constellation Energy from MPR Associates, where he served as a Consultant Engineer for power generation clients.
Mr. Shultz joined MPR Associates from International Power in Marlboro, Massachusetts where he held the position of Manager - Midwest Fleet, responsible for overall management of 1800 megawatts of generation assets comprised of GE 7FA and Siemens V84.3 frame combustion turbines.
Prior to International Power Mr. Shultz held positions as Project Director and Director – Acquisitions and Development with Constellation Energy in Houston, Texas. During this time he coordinated acquisition technical due diligence, implemented a fleet wide best practices and peer review program, and served as the Engineering/O&M lead during development and construction of the Grande Prairie generation facility in Alberta, Canada.
Mr. Shultz joined Constellation Energy from El Paso Energy in Houston, Texas, where he served as Director – Solid Fuel Operations and El Paso Energy International where he served as Manager – Operations Business Development. In these roles he was responsible for corporate oversight of all solid fuel O&M and fuel handling operations, following O&M and Technical lead roles in project acquisition due diligence and fleet integration in the U.S., Canada, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, South Korea, Thailand, Japan, and China. Prior to El Paso Energy Mr. Shultz served through the 90’s as Maintenance Manager, Project Manager, Operations Manager, and Plant Manager at CFB, Stoker, and Pulverized Coal plants in the Louisville Gas & Electric Power fleet.
Mr. Shultz is a native of Pennsylvania, and attended Keystone College.
